UPDATE 6/20/2023: They may have changed the layout around. I currently no longer see the "edit in settings.json". Instead, go to Extensions -> JSON -> under json Schemas, there's a link to edit the settings.json

Thank you so much, it's super distracting while typing having a bunch of stuff show up.
Didn't find the json file like in the video so I just typed "settings." in the search bar in the settings option and it was the first thing that showed up.

I had to get rid of it by unchecking the box: Editor › Parameter Hints: Enabled

Thanks for the info, didn't solve it for me but seems any update with VS Code i need to redo this... Gone through this a few times, others suggested going for setting, mainly to get to "user" vs "workspace". Seems the entries in the setting for "user" they are set false, but still saw the parameter hints... Thought ahh... Tried changing settings to "workspace" bingo they are set true. Cleared them and.... Silence is golden ;)
