Kansas voters uphold right to abortion

In Kansas, abortion rights supporters won a surprising victory in a red state, when voters rejected a constitutional amendment that would have enabled state lawmakers to ban or restrict abortion in the state. Human rights are meant to be federal. Period. The states shouldn't get to choose whether they can have slaves, and they shouldn't get to choose what human rights laws they choose to abide by.

I’m kinda shocked because I lived there for a stint and it was the most conservative state I’ve ever seen. In fact I think a lot of those terrorist abortion bombings were in Kansas. They’ve come a long way!
