Hey Alex. I'm affraid that this one will be a return. You have flashed a kbc firmware which most likely does not have any locking mechanism inside. What you are looking for is bios chip between PCH and Cpu next to the ram slots

I'm not a hardware tech but, this is fascinating! I learn a new thing everyday on this channel 👏👌👍✔

I recently did the exact same procedure on an Asus laptop for the first time. Trickiest part was to find the original bios file on the internet !

I would like to see how big boss disassembles and puts back tablets, phones etc with sensitive screens. Most of that kind of devices are glued today. How and with which glue you put them back? Please make that kind of video.

That's great practice to first read and save original Flash content.. 👍 I'm always doing so, even with old EPROM's.

I rarely work on computers and electronics any more. But in the case of not being able to find a compatible firmware to write to the chip. I have read the chip and SOMETIMES, your can luck out by reading the comments through different programs and look to the right side and look for words are things that seems to be a possible password and make a note of that address all the way to the left side, and when you click on the possible password it will highlight part of the Hex code and you can make note of exactly what it has and replace it with all F's are 0's and that will remove the password then safe it. And if it doesn't work you can simply just reread and edit what you wrote down to the exact address. This is far more than the average person wants to do but it can be done.

Good job. I have done this on a few boards and had success. As mentioned from some getting the bios from some manufacturers is a pain. In some instance I had to retrieve bios from donor board and then flash.

I recently accidentally dropped my finer tipped soldering iron and it curved like yours is. Because of that honest mistake, I was able to more easily repair an isl chip on a MacBook Air repair I did. That bent tip really does wonders, doesn’t it?!? 😄

I have learned from you so much and i want to rent a small shop but i dont have any soldering station. I want to save some money but its almost imposible besause i have to go to work. My passion is always microsoldering but i dont have most of the equippment. Im so glad you make videos because they inspire me. I live in Albania and prices of microsoldering are going rocket sky. So i want to help some people but i need some time. If you can help me that would be my dream but if you cant i respect you and dont forget. Keep up the great work!!

I've only ever heard of this procedure in theory but now in seeing the practical aspect of doing it, thanks

There a clip that you can program the chip without desoldeeing, I mean directly on the board.
Which is cleaner, quicker and less likely to loose or damage it.

You amaze me whenever you do things so easily when it’s not that easy for most of us. Good job

People don't realize they pay mostly for the skills, try microsoldering a chip yourself or try to find the cause of the problem... This person has spent hours perfecting his skills to reach the MASTER LEVEL!

Great video as always👍you should try the clamp tool for that programmer, it saves unsoldering the chip from the board
