Is it just me or anyone else noticing how Shutterstock consistently puts out great content? I find it really refreshing seeing a bigger company put the effort into the long term value of their content by bringing such great value to their audience. Thank you!

Since I've been through this a couple times, I can say you, as the writer/director/producer, NEED at the very LEAST one really good, dedicated PA or you will run yourself completely ragged! I called myself the Executive Producing Production Assistant on my projects because I was doing every little thing because I didn't have anyone to do it. Those things have to be done and if there's no one else to run to get coffee, pick up lunch, go to the dollar store for last minute prop/wardrobe item, and so on, you're the one who has to do it. There are going to be surprises and you need someone who you can send to deal with them so you're not distracted from producing/directing. And when they're not running around, which will be rare, they can be an extra pair of hands on set for whatever is needed - holding a reflector, waving a piece of cardboard to direct the smoke from the smoke machine, keeping a lookout for police... I mean set safety. ;)

Heh - last film I did I was Operator and Focus Puller. Frankly, if you know how to do all these jobs - I say do them yourself. I find it a lot easier and quicker to shoot things when I don't need to explain my vision to other people as much.

Wow, you just glossed over like 40% of the major players. I'm a key grip, but have been Key G+E. Grips and Gaffers are two WILDLY different disciplines. Gaffers take care of everything that gets plugged in, and generally everything that makes light. Grip takes care of every hard point that isn't viewable on picture.
