I’ve never played final fantasy 9, but really I don’t think it mattered that much because both the fight itself and the song blew me away anyway. The vibe is so grand, the theme sounds exactly like something that would be associated with knighthood, and the fight itself was very challenging along with being so aesthetically pleasing. It really did feel like I was facing off against a powerful graceful knight, and if I ever do get the chance to play ff9 I can finally meet the Zelenia that Sphene knew so well

FF9 was my first FF game and last year, I replayed it for a friend. It still holds up. Songs like this make it easy to see why Nobuo Uematsu considers FF9 to be having his favorite soundtrack.
I literally cried tears of joy while waiting for the trial.

Now I'm waiting to see how they will tie Necron to be the final boss of the expansion, because, let's be honest, with the way story is going, Necron has to be at the end.
