0:00 Introduction
2:17 Stream Highlights
19:11 Fully Produced Second Playthrough

Rules:
1. Only my starter in battle
2. No items in battle, except held items
3. No glitches, exploits, save states, or RNG manipulation
4. No evasion moves before level 100*

Rule details:
-- *In gen1, evasion boosting is allowed if the Pokemon does it through means other than learning the move by level up or TM. For example, using Mimic or Mirror Move to boost evasion is allowed. (This exception is to keep ranking consistent with my legacy videos.)
-- I am allowed to manipulate my starter
-- I play the game at 4x game speed
-- For fair comparisons all my Pokemon have perfect (or near perfect) DVs / IVs
-- I am allowed to catch HM users - I can use all field moves
-- All in-battle glitches are allowed in generation 1
-- In generation 1, I'm allowed to skip Marowak with the Poke Doll
-- Surge's trash-can-puzzle is automatically solved
-- The bike is allowed in gen1, banned in gen2, and allowed for bypassing terrain in gen3
-- Saving between league members is allowed
-- If the solo Pokemon faints and I choose to blackout it counts towards my reset counter
-- I can pause the game and timer to take breaks
-- The footage is sped up / slowed down to match the pace of my narration
-- The ability Pickup can only be used if the starter has it

Just chiming in to say that these stream summary videos are appreciated! I much prefer the produced format over watching a stream.

That para-flinch reset was so brutal. Poor Lugia. 😢

Thank you that you uploaded the stream highlights for Lugia
It is my favorite Legendary, but a long Livestream is a bit too much for my short attention span
So I really appreciate you giving us this video
Thank you Scott!

I actually like these new supercuts, they're a lot easier for me to watch than the full livestreams. They also look like a LOT less work than the fully produced videos while still having 80-90% of the quality IMO.

Edit: Or at least they're not much extra stress on your voice!

If that's how good a run Lugia can get, I can scarcely imagine the potential pace of the inevitable Mewtwo run.

So cool that you're doing stream highlights! Lugia has to be one of my favourite legendaries and it's great it got another shot at greatness

Lugia is such a cool Pokémon!
To expand on why I like this format: whenever a full live stream was released, I'd watch only some parts of it if I was short on time. This format makes me watch the best parts in short notice :)
Youre the bestt

Happy to see these, I was king of delaying watching the live streams cause I figured they would be put into a shorter video anyways, was a bit disappointed to see them ranked and never saw how they got there. This is very nice to have

We like these videos but please continue producing the core product! Those well produced Saturday videos are the best thing you do!

Scott: "I can't imagine a time under an hour and twenty minutes with a Pokemon that isn't like Mewtwo..."
Ampharos: lol. lmao, even.

Appreciate these highlight videos. Since I have kids and they’re in activities, it’s nice to be able to catch up, even if I do miss the stream.

Loving these stream highlights. I love these runs, especially the re-ranks, as it's interesting to see you iterate runs to optimise them with new experience. But the multi-hour stream videos would take me days to get through 😂

These stream highlight video don't replicate the weight of watching a full stream, and aren't as streamlined as a fully produced episode, but it falls very nicely into its own type of video to enjoy. Plus it's always a good day to see a new playthrough, two magnificent finishes for all our favorite water flying dragon.

I'm glad you're doing these, I almost never watch the live streams because they're like hours long and I just don't have that kind of time.

Lugia is definitely my favorite between Lugia/Ho-oh, he's just such a good lad

I like the voice edits you made here retroactively. I watched the stream. Having a post stream, do over, to cap the video was a good call.
-having this as a special focus and being able to share as a job sounds amazing
-I’m running my own Pokémon ttrpg. Having the people to share pokemon with is a good feeling

Amazing video. Commenting to once again show my support for these cut down stream highlight videos. I know this one took a little more producing but it is much appreciated either way. 🎉❤

I'm so impressed with that second playthrough! Lugia seems such a good candidate for Recover with its stats but it's amazing to see it's so tanky it doesn't even need it. Just brute force and crit everything in its way.
One thing I noticed is, there are a few two-shots like on the Steelix or the Lv 50 D-nite, where I'm not sure if you're going for a roll or not. In general, if it's less likely to one-shot without a crit, it may sometimes be better to use a weaker move first to keep the target out of healing range for a small optimisation, but I figure it may add up, especially as you're going for faster and faster times.

Got to the end when I heard 9 minutes and wow what an incredible rush. That's a truly staggering amount of time saved in just one run. Like 1 hour and 25 minutes is 85 minutes, you saved like a tenth of the previous run. Truly incredible, your content is amazing as always.
