Mercedes AMG PureSpeed Testing Before Reveal

Mercedes-AMG is entering the final stage of developing the highly exclusive PureSpeed sports car, which made its debut as a concept vehicle in Monaco in May 2024. This limited-edition model is now undergoing rigorous test drives, starting on various roads in northern Italy before heading south to the high-speed test track in Nardò. The PureSpeed's radical design, an entirely open two-seater performance car with no roof or windshield, is a true homage to racing. To prove its capabilities, the car must endure over 3,000 kilometers of testing.

The development team is focusing on a wide range of tasks to ensure the vehicle’s high quality under real-world driving conditions. These tests are crucial to verify the functionality and interaction of all systems and components. Additionally, the striking body design is being scrutinized in diverse situations to meet strict quality standards. Experts are also fine-tuning the car’s dynamic handling at high speeds on the test track. This comprehensive testing on public roads is carried out in partnership with Pininfarina, experts in specialized small-volume projects.

A standout feature of the PureSpeed is the HALO safety system, derived directly from motorsport. The production run is limited to 250 units, reserved for passionate enthusiasts and collectors.
