Here's a creepy anecdote: Last August I was driving in a car with a friend where - among other things - we talked about additional high-strength headlights that you can mount on cars. Phones in our pockets, and he isn't on facebook at all. I have the app installed on my phone, but that's the most I use it really.
Never searched for it on my computer or phone, but within a few hours it appeared on ads in my Facebook feed.

Im 💯% sure that facebook uses your microphone ALL the time!Once I asked my dad to buy me a shampoo that i had seen on TV while having facebook open.I never searched for the shampoo, but next day facebook throws an ad of THE EXACT SHAMPOO i was talking about.As youve said, different experiements have proved this too

I've heard people talk about apps collecting data so I wanted to learn more about it. What I'm still wondering though is if allowing them to collect my data is actually dangerous, it tells them where I am and it give me advertisements specifically for me but that doesn't seem so bad. I know it could be bad but should I be worried?

it's difficult to stop using Google related SW or Apps and Facebook. the best ting is to generate less personal data as possible
or even generate useless data

That was a no brainer when I searched coupes on cars.com and then a few hours later, I started getting ads about coupes on YouTube and face till today.

Facebook showed me people I might know and there was my former boss. This is completely creepy because I just typed his name into Google to search his E-Mail address.
