Sliced bread was first manufactured by machine and sold in the 1920s by the Chillicothe Baking Company in Missouri. It was the greatest thing since…unsliced bread?

I think AI writing is a very useful tool for writers, programmers, or anybody who needs to type up a bunch of documents. This just needs to be used right, without displacing people. But then there is AI art, voice, deepfakes that may hurt us humans more than it could ever help.

Artificial intelligence is my best new friend. Honestly it can write better than anyone in Hollywood. 😂😂😂😂👍

Ten years from now you'll put on a jacket and find a mask in the pocket. "Oh man, what a weird year that was, " you'll chuckle to yourself. Then you'll pick up your machete and continue across the wasteland, keeping to the shadows to avoid the roving gangs of cannibal raiders.

Experiments in universities have actually been carried out to figure out how many licks it takes to get to the center of a Tootsie Pop, both with machine and human lickers (because this is important scientific knowledge!). The results ranged from 252 to 411.

I literally work with machine learning, AI, etc. It has no reasoning capabilities, don't be daft. Its a machine and if we don't train it correctly, its useless. If the data isn't right, cleaned, and fed correctly, its useless. Writing the AI is the easy part. Its 10% of our work. The rest is all in the data. You want to regulate something start with that. A machine that learn's purpose is to simulate thought. Pretending to think based on patterns is not thinking. Its not sitting there and thinking about the future. These patterns exist because of us and the natural order of things. The only reason it seems soo alive is because it is made by humans and takes in data created by guess what - humans. Yes, it needs to be regulated, but dont bring in that sci-fi living sentient being nonesense to the table. It really defeats the purpose of your argument. Let us not be so arrogant to think we in our primitive state of technology that we are close to creating another being. We can't even figure out pollution.
