Survive [ EPIC: The Musical | Animatic | DISCONTINUED ]

Hi! so people who've been following me on my other social probably already know about how old this wip is haha, but yeah its Pretty old. I've worked on it on and off for the better part of a year? or less idk time passage is weird. But alas, a consequence of that is I Do Not Like how it's turned out. The style changes too much, lines are weird, my odysseus design has changed, etc. I've kind of lost motivation to finish it I suppose, so I've discontinued it :)

Maybe I'll redo it again one day, maybe not. Until then, to the graveyard it be. Here's what I had. kill your darlings and all that

Seeing this and Remember Them, you give the cyclops a level of personality that I don’t see other animatics do. He actually kinda reminds me of his dad in terms of anger and being conniving lol

I love the motion in this! Really shows how big Polyphemus is and how the strat is "be as annoying as possible"

I love how in 0:27 almost everyone looks taller than Odysseus- 😂

This would be fun to see. Loved seeing the reflection of the cyclops on the sword given its the one life he needs to take in order to live. I especially liked where it switched to Odysseus, eurylocus, and polites when Odysseus said "fight fight fight ". They are practically the three musketeers amongst them but it is crazy that polites is least likely to fight given he accepts the world with open arms

even if this is a discontinued animatic i do love seeing the sketchwork and how you break anatomy and composition down into lines and shapes

Coming back to this a year later, I really hope Wolfy picks this up again. Would be amazing to have the entire Cyclops Saga completed.

I am so sad to see this is discontinued, because the Wolfy Cyclops saga is peak cyclops saga animatics to me. But I understand having to shelf it when you know you are not going to be happy with it.
I hope one day you feel like finishing this, or starting it anew, for what is worth I think it was looking incredible

when I saw him lift his sword I absolutely pictured him turn it to reflect the cyclops and that's exactly what happened. I cant express how satisfactory that choreography was, and all you showed of the fight was great. nom nom nom thanks for the food

Honestly wish you did finish it. It would have been nice to have the whole Cyclops series animated with one REALLY awesome artist, but whatever reason you just discontinue it, I respect and understand.

I love the way you framed the cyclops in the mouth of the cave.

Not only does it help show the size of the opponent for the fight, but it also shows the size of the obstacle he is in "Remember Me."

Logically, it made sense that Ody had to figure out how to move him as well as incapacitate him, but it was hard for me to visualize. Thanks for helping my poor brain.

The scene where the blade is turned to show the reflection of Polyphemus with "Just one life to take" That is some brain goes level of imagery. I'm happy you shared this despite being discontinued.
