it's not as refined as other motion rigs, true, but the spirit behind it is so cool because it's a school project. I assume that you can fine tune the motion via software

Very nice but the PC box design needs some re-thinking. A little too crowded with the PSU looking like it is just sitting on top. But they are students and they may have wanted them to learn themselves. Great job though. Super cool!

Operating costs are lower with a simulator too compared to a real car.
Not to mention maintenance time and set up time is also a sucker for time.
And the best part to use a simulator... You don't risk dying if you hit the concrete wall at 300 KPH.

Being some one who compeats in real world Rallying and racing and allso dose a lot of sim racing I can say over all sim racing is way cheaper maybe not the level of adrenalen but its grait fun, last time out in my rally car we roled 4 times(bigest ever for me :( ) thats cost a compleat rebuild of the car so yer.

That's cool and all but I could by a 240sx, swap the engine for a RB25, get a roll cage and some extra rims for drifting with $15, 000
