"Stick with me, this one should be fun." No sir, they are all incredibly fun and informative. This channel has become my favorite for that reason. I have a question for you...which format has the best sound too you? For me, and I don't understand it, is Red Book Audio. I have never heard a DVD/HD-DVD/Blu Ray/HD Blu Ray/4K Blu Ray sound better than an audio CD. They sound much more crisp with better highs and lows.

Addendum- I believe Super Street Fighter 2 was something like 48megs. You could also look at Neo Geo games that hit 703megs I believe. Oh my first console (s) were the Nes and Master System. Both used cart based medium and the change to CDs was so profound for me I cannot put it into words. ;)

Man, talkin about PC Engine CD makes me wish that Kojima made a combined remake of Metal Gear 1+2

I've from cartridge (VCS) to cassette (ZX Spectrum) to diskette (Amiga) to CD (CC32) to finally digital (PC) and at the time some games averaged 4 discs the cd was a God send. I wonder if the home computer (non-pc) had been able to adopt CD tech whether they would have lasted longer

Unlike Sega who for a lot of Sega CD was the same version as the Genesis but with better sound. Played games also made good use of the space for graphics and cut scenes.

I really love the era right when CD's became an accessible medium.
Sega CD, Saturn, PS1, TG16 CD, I love these libraries so much, just try to stay away from the FMV games.
