All these years I’ve spent teaching my son that everyone is equal and the color of our skin has nothing to do with who someone is on the inside and now he gets comments from teachers that he’s not allowed to complain about anything, ever, bc he’s a white male and he’s privileged. Now everything is about color and It’s the complete opposite of everything he’s ever been taught. It is so disheartening. We had the privilege of being friends or family with anyone, no matter their skin color and it’s being ripped away from us. People are going right back to where we started, segregation and hate.
