Welcome to my channel! Back in 2015 I created Straton Watch Co. a watch brand that creates Car/Motorsport inspired retro watches for which a lot success I can thank the YouTube community for through the amount of video content created surrounding my brand. Having a long time passion for cars and watches I have decided to take the leap and create my own YouTube channel focusing on car related content. It’s only fitting the first short video on my channel is about my 1977 Alfetta GT, the car that started it all. Enjoy!

Still a beautiful design! THAT is one thing the Italians are really good at! Loved the GTV6 as a teenager back in the mid 80:s...

I bought this one exactly back in 1977 in the Netherlands. For the looks of course. First it rusted already when it was at the dealership (we lived near the sea), so they retouched it! When I left the dealership the whole dashboard fell on my knees (they simply forgot most of the screws). After the first week of rain the doorpanels (plastic covered cardboard) began to feel soft as there was water in the doors, reason for this was that when painting the car they obstructed the holes for the water to drain. When driving the car I noticed that it was almost impossible to shift gears down to second, you fist had to stop almost and then start again from first gear on. After I was left without light for an unknown reason in the middle of the motorway twice I sold it back to the dealer who was also Mazda dealer and bought a Mazda...what a relief after this. And still I love the Alfa models. Even so that many years later I bought a 164, with also a lot of problems. What to say if you park in the center of Paris and your windows won't go up anymore, or when your electric roof starts opening and closing at will on the motorway in the winter. Same story didn't last long. And finally my wife bought a 146 again some years later and that one she crashed that at least is not Alfa's fault.

I have two of those: 1979 Affetta GT loaded with sun roof etc original owner since new have about 75k miles on it souped up by Besic Motor Sports but I let it sits so it's going to cost me some money to get it running again! I recently bought a 1978 Affetta GT in my neighborhood in bad shape thought either fix it or use it as part car!

Gorgeous! And isn't it notable the size difference between the Alfetta and the much more modern Porsche. I'll bet the Alfa is at least 500 lbs lighter.
