Glad you are getting a spare for the Nugget. That fix a flat is kind of iffy. That was a nice look at the fairgrounds. Looked like a motocross track in one corner of it. Thanks for taking us along. Safe travels.

Thank You Russ for the drone view at La Paz Fairgrounds... I might attend the RTR 2020... Or I might attend QuartzFest.... Both Start the same week...!

Meeting whatshisname at the new RTR location gives new meaning to the term "bucket" list...lol

I'm amazed at how isolated the fairgrounds are. I live in Yuma and the fairgrounds here are surrounded by city.

Great move for the RTR event IMO. Rain from Q-town CC & The Desert Messenger interviewed that guy the other day. He has some extreme thoughts and ideas about future life-n-stuff. Leave No Trace. TY Russ...KC...!!

Bob Wells said in a video that they can only be on the fair grounds from morning till dusk. No camping allowed there. People have to commute back and forth from any near by camping areas they choose.

That spot at the end of the road is where people in cars and trucks realize there no longer on the road. You know that is the splat mark in the sand.

Russ, can you survey the roads that lead to the various State Trust Land around the La Paz County Fairgrounds? I think that the reason the area is lightly traveled, is because of the $15 or $20 fee for 14 days of camping and the fact that this area is away from Quartzsite. The website has maps of the available area. Thanks

I think this place attracts me because there’s so much open, empty space. I guess that’s why I’d visit in the off season and not in the winter. I like to drive the speed limit and look around when I go places.

IF you watched CRVL's video announcement, there is absolutely NO camping allowed at the Fairgrounds. They are setting up a system where people can "carpool" in from the various camping areas in Q or Parker.

What did you sell when you were a vender?

ericjacobson

You absolutely cannot camp at the fairgrounds at La Paz. Area is for vendor camping only. You must carpool to go to RTR seminars. Camp in Quartzsite or Parker.

Hi Russ
I called the fairgrounds they advised there is NO camping at the fairgrounds.

Camping is only available to venders, workers/volunteers.

Also I learned after I called, the HOWA website asks people not to call the fairgrounds lol

just thought I would let ya know.
