Witchita - Mrs. Magoo

Our second Hellcat Single release is Wichita. Wichita is a soul band that was put together by myself and my friend Max, the Bivona Brothers and horn players Ruben and Mark. The first song and video is titled, “Mrs. Magoo”. It has that early 60’s Northern Soul feel, like the sound of the records that came out from labels such as Tamla and Okeh. The B side titled “W.O.R.M.” which stands for “Worldwide Organization Resisting Malice”, is a rhythm and horn driven call and response song, definitely influenced by many of the early rock and soul records that we love. I’m always trying to experiment. Having fun, while also keeping it interesting. Wichita’s got more songs in the pipeline. And if you missed our first single, It’s “Babylon” by the Interrupters.

These guys are good. The whole Northern Soul sound was always a little "flowery" for my tastes, but theyll likely be a hit.

Tim Armstrong is single handedly keeping ska bands employed it seems

Horns section : makes it sound, has a crucial part in the music
Clip Director: focus rather on the mute girls shaking and how sexy they are ignoring the musicians

"Wichita’s got more songs in the pipeline."
What was born in the pipeline, stays in the pipeline. So sad.
