"I'm breaking up with you now because at some point, we might break up anyway."
There would be no point in getting romantically involved with anyone of all people were like that 😂
Buck has had plenty of relationships to figure out what he wants. It doesn't really matter if those relationships were with women, a relationship is a relationship. He did not deserve this.

THIS IS SO FRUSTRATING, like actually. Can the writers please stop doing this to us?! like just let Buck be single at this point, I’m not coping

What really annoyed me was Buck had to ask are they breaking up. So if Buck sat quietly, Tommy would have left without even telling me. Very cold.

You cutting him off & starting it at "You are a himbo" lmao 😭

This scene made me so mad at Tommy. I saw it coming from a mile away after the scene at the restaurant, but his reasoning for the break up was complete BS.

Basically said "I'm hurting you before you can hurt me"

This episode was heartbreaking. I hope this is not the end of their relationship!

If they truly only broke them up because they want buck to experience with other men, I am going to be mad. His coming out as bisexual is so important and to erase that by making him sleep around would be awful. Bisexuals are already accused of just wanting to sleep around. Hope what I read was wrong. ..

The storytelling in Evan & Tommy’s character development is perfect & so relatable. In the beginning, Tommy appears very secure in himself & who he is as an individual. But after the first date, he left Buck at the restaurant for not acknowledging him as his date to Eddie, whom he befriends quickly. He claims he didn’t want to pressure Buck. Throughout his scenes, he makes references to wanting part of the 118, he & his father not talking, Captain Gerard, etc. Tommy longs for connection, but like many is afraid of it once they get it & self-sabotage with the restaurant scene & this breakup. I love how he makes references to LGBT norms, which are true. Some men want someone more seasoned, in SGL relationships. Ageism is a thing here too. Some of us do propose moving in rather quickly.

Evan was triggered hearing how Tommy broke up with Abby, having been dumped frequently. Anxiety is definitely present when he starts judging Tommy, before the 911 dispatcher interjects. But he integrated his new revelation in the conversation to Tommy immediately as he referenced in the scene. Which isn’t bad, but can add additional pressure which Tommy visibly felt. Suggesting moving in after 6 months can be both an anxious & fear-based act. I love how we saw the shift of Buck becoming more secure & trying to provide reassurance. Many will say Tommy lead him on. I don’t think so. I think he was triggered by “the next step” and reacted poorly. Interesting was when Tommy called Buck impulsive, remembering Tommy kissed Buck, suggested the date, left Buck on the corner, and broke up with him.

This is a perfect representation of the avoidant (Tommy) pulling away from connection & the anxious (Buck) trying to pull him in. I’m invested to see how they progress, the stories, writing, & portrayal are brilliant. I’m rooting for them #Tevan #Kenley

Lol Tommy's face after Buck asked him to move in...But honestly, I am sad about this. Also, I don't want to see player Buck again. It was refreshing to see him in something healthy.

Tommy might not be my favourite character but I appreciate him being honest with Buck about their relationship. This conversation however should have been something they had at the start, maybe it wasn't going to be long-term but it should have been something they were on the same page about.

For those, like me, who need some closure on the Buck/Tommy story line, consider this:
The scene opens on the 133 arriving at a collapsed house. They dig our a couple clinging together, protecting their toddler. The 133 radios dispatch to send Harbor Station for an air lift. Tommy, Lucy and their team arrive as the couple and their child are extracted from the ruble. As the couple is loaded in the chopper, Tommy sees the woman's face and shouts at Lucy to grab the child. As they travel to Presbyterian, Tommy frantically breaks protocol, calling Maddie by name and simply saying "It's Connor and Kameron, find Buck." Cut to hospital, Buck, Eddie and Hen are entering the ER as Tommy, Lucy enter with two gurneys and a toddler in Tommy's arms. Tommy hands Buck the child and attends to the hand off of Kameron as Lucy hands off Connor. As Tommy turns back, his eyes are on Buck with the child. Hen approaches: "I see you Tommy, what gives?". Uncharacteristically, Tommy, with tears in his eyes says: "With everything in me I wanted to say yes. But, in that moment, I realized that Buck would never look at me like that." The camera pans to Buck looking at Eddie as he holds the child created with his sperm donation.

Sad but realistic here. Tommy is right. He's been around long enough to know how this will go and can't get any deeper into it.

This was horribly heartbreaking. Makes me wonder about a lot. But even they lasted longer than all my relationships put together.

i will just say...let them cook..the writers are definitely onto something, they want THE BEST partner for Buck and tommy just wasnt. think of maddie and howie, they took their time with these two (and also made them suffer a lot before their happy ending)

who doesn't know that your partner doesnt like something after dating for 6 months? buck canonically hates basketball yet tommy got him tickets to go and WATCH basketball...after 6 months??? did they just never tell eachother anything or did tommy just not listen???

This is the realest storyline. Buck has just come out and everything feels good but moving in and thinking this is the be-all-end-all relationship is immature. Tommy is smart when he says he knows how this will end. And every gay man who’s ever dated a newly outed man understands this too.
