Using shredded paper as mulch for gardening fights off weeds as well keeps humidity for the plants. Vermi compost worms live happily between the soil and the paper and you may feed the worms directly there. The worms will quickly help convert the food you bring them to nutriments for your plants.

Need to try this...Regret missing out on a lot of paper when I worked in a big office. Need to hunt down a source.

I shred brown paper bags. To many chemicals in junk mail and white paper.
