Thanks for the quick reply, but for clarification, I have a second multi plug which I can plug into the GID but all I need to do is take one wire from the GID which goes the corresponding wire on multimedia harness and the GID will power up if so that is amazing

I used your previous design which i appreciate so much. But i never had something at the back to prevent the faceplate being pushed deep in when i would go to car washes. Do those side slots reach all the way to the back so that now the whole thing doesnt get pushed in?

Do you have information where I can purchase a frame for the small original screen (to install it in place of the old radio)? I have seen on few videos that someone has production of such brackets

Hello again, thought I would share the set up I now have installed in my car and to ask a few more questions, the GID works but only displays a limited amount of info, I used to run a device called the comfort unit which gave access to many other features, I have installed OBD module called torque pro which allows info to be displayed via the teyes screen, the next question is could I run both OBD modules via a splitter, as I have tried but with no success

Hello there I have just found your vid and have just ordered the teyes and moved the GID what I don’t know is how to wire it up as the teyes uses the grey plug that powered the GID any help would be great

How did you connect stock display? I have same multimedia but cannot connect stock display. My climate control doesnt work. Cable for stock display is required to power on multimedia. How to make to work both, multimedia and stock display?

Congrats for the video. A question: I have installed the Carlink Android radio in the Opel Astra H but I have a problem with the air conditioning which does not turn on either manually or from the radio. There is no power coming from one of the connectors (the gray one). To understand if the problem comes from the air conditioning alone, I removed the installed radio and reinstalled the old factory display. So I noticed that with the original display and with the original factory wiring used everything works well. Attention: the on-board computer is the DVD90NAVI model and my original air conditioner has 2 connectors for operation (grey and blue).Can you help me?

Hi there I am struggling to set up the reverse camera in my Astra, I have an after market version which may be the problem, I have contacted the yellow plug to the unit but have a red wire which I presume is the trigger wire but not sure where to attach it, would appreciate any help

If you don't mind, I have 2 questions, please:
1. What functions has the gid, now that it is no longer paired with the original radio?still shows consumption, range, etc? ( i have bid)
2. Can you tell me what setting do I need to edit from your link, to make a 3d for my BID? Because I am very sure that needs some other sizes, no?

I don’t know how many space is left after the display installment but is there a chance for storage space for phone? The storage space in astra h is terrible, in fact there is no storage at all.

GID in this frame is placed instead of the radio without modifications? My GID does not fit even without an additional frame.

Have you got any photos or video how you got the larger screen to fit nicely to the dash? Did you make a surround for that too. Obviously know it's double din
