With the release of our new Uprox IO-Link sensors, Turck's Factor 1 offering is more versatile than ever before.

Video Transcription:

Turck's Uprox 3 sensor is now available with IO-Link. With this technology, the user can set the output function to normally open, normally closed, or complementary, with the ability to set individual output ranges for each of the two individual outputs.

It also features a rotational speed monitor with adjustable set points; on-delay, off-delay, hysteresis, and a temperature alarm capability.

One key advantage of IO-Link is easier replacement of sensors, as well as setting up predictive and preventive maintenance.

For example, in abrasive applications, the sensor can be configured to alarm when the sensing face becomes damage, but before it fails completely. Or, using a temperature alarm, users can be alerted to swings in temperature prior to failure.

IO-Link identifies each sensor with an application specific tag, similar to a mac address that identifies that particular sensor. This identification function can be used to identify workpiece carriers or change tools, eliminating the need to install a separate RFID system for identification of different processes.

For those who don't need any of those options, simple plug the Uprox3 IO-Link into any PNP or NPN input, and it will function as reliably as other Uprox sensors from Turck, which feature the highest switching distances of all Factor 1 sensors.
