How To Multi-track Record with Voicemeeter and Reaper

I know I'm not the only one who has struggled to figure this out. Here are the steps! In short:

* Check your voicemeeter outputs in Menu then System Settings
* The input tracks match up with the channels in the Patch Composite
* In Reaper: Tools then Preferences
* Set Audio System to ASIO
* Set ASIO driver to Voicemeeter Virtual ASIO
* Set First and last to VM-VAIO1 and 8 respectively
* Make a new track and choose the VM input that corresponds with the channel you for your device in step 2!

Thank you so much for this walk-through. You saved me the trouble of running this type of configuration in Adobe Audition, which hasn't really evolved over time and can be really heavy on the file-size. One note that I'd like to add, is that doing this set-up in Voicemeeter Potato will call for you to select "Voicemeeter Potato Insert Virtual ASIO" in order to be able to track the composite in whichever Bus you're using.

Thanks again!

My mic is in the VoiceMeeter input 2, but in Reaper it records it in either input 1 or 2. With regular VoiceMeeter I could record my PC sound, but not my mic. Now with Banana I can just record my mic, but I can't record my PC... Do you have any recommendation here?? I would appreciate it a lot...

Hi, so your 2nd channel in Voice meeter is rerouting to PC output?

Reaper sees just my mic (1st two channels - left and right) for some reason. Not only did I doublecheck, but I triplechecked everything. It's pain. I guess I'll go watch the video you are refering to
