It was average, but for me it truly was a great 2000s-style movie, like a quintessence of what made a movie from the beginning of 2000s special. The yellowish lighting, it's always summer, everyone is friendly, dichotomy good and bad -especially business people-, sexy all over the place, a caricatural love story with the law loving the burglar, puns, kinda spiritual, the shots in the neighbourhood...
Think of "Fast and Furious" saga, "National Treasure", "The bicentennial man", "Legally blonde", "Transformers", "iRobot", "Idiocracy"... they all convey the same feeling of summer, freedom and adventure.
I mean, I love it.

I loved the movie as a kid. Moral of the story is: I was a stupid kid. Theme song slapped though.

Also can you please do a Sharon Stone move. That woman needs love, and we all know what movie it should be!

I remember going to see this when it came out, b/c Halle did Capoeira training for the scenes and you just don't see Capoeira represented in movies that much. The film was garbage, of course. But at least it was entertainingly bad. I'd still watch it over any of these modern "girl boss" super hero movies.
