Masterbuilt Gravity Series 1050 - Biscuit Hot Spot Test

preview_player
Показать описание
Testing my new Masterbuilt Gravity Series 1050 for hot spots with biscuits. Set the cooker to 250° and added a dozen biscuits. Checked them after 10 minutes and every 5 minutes after that. All the biscuits cooked exceptionally even with no noticeable hotspots across the whole smoker.

I'm very impressed by the 1050. I don't think I've ever seen a biscuit test come out so even. Nice job again Tim !

That’s very encouraging since my 1050 is en route. Thanks for doing the biscuit test for me Tim!

To get an accurate real world test you need to do three test at 250, 400 & 700. This will let you know for future cooks where you hot spots are on most settings.

Great video, nice to see how uniform it is. There another video where this same test is done at 350 degrees on The Gallery Backyard BBQ channel. Quite a large hot spot develops down the center and in the middle of the lower grate. Good info keep them coming!

What does the capacity look like? How many baby back ribs, or pork butts can you fit? Great video.

Does the 1050 do a good job of maintaining and holding temp like a pellet grill would I’m interested in buying one I’d hate to invest in one and discover I need to purchase a new control board in order for it to maintain a consistent temperature

this Video was one of 2 (the other was from Tim Hoff comparing the 2 MB Gravity smokers) vidios that caused me to buy the 1050! doing the burn in tomorrow and a quick reverse sear (porter house) just to see how fast it gets up to 550 degrees) hope I like it lol. good video by the way! I would have never thought it would have been that constant across and up and down the cook chamber!?!? hope I get the same results.

Where did you get this from? Haven’t been able to find it anywhere.

Nice. So far I have used my new 560 ten times grilling only. I love the easy use. My gas grill has been parked. I just wish the larger one was out when I bought this one but maybe next year. Wish it was better quality build but it's a 499 made in china grill so get what you pay for.
