And it is true that the MAW man was a big supporter of Ultra's comeback record on her new label, but some records are hits the moment the final stop button gets pushed in the recording studio, and 'Free' is one of them. Lovingly crafted by Mood II Swing with the help of a huge guitar riff and Ultra's anthemic chorus, 'Free' landed up as one of the undisputed biggest dance records of the 1990s.
