i've created user called "cel" using the useradd command. but when i tried to run su command which is switching user. in the linux terminal it does only show "$" dollar sign. why is that. and that cel user. it doesnt belong to the home directory. why is that?

sir if i have not set any root password so by default which password I should enter to enter in root directory
