As a Fil-Am, I'm saddened that the first guy that was eliminated was the dude that spoke Tagalog when NO ONE else could or at least tried. He was the one pinoy that was actively trying to retain our culture!!!

At the beginning when Rey pointed out that Jared aka "John" didn't have a second name was like a BIG giveaway, coz tho not all, but most Filipinos always give their children second names. It's like this obsession with long names and stuff. Whenever someone says their name is for example Jake, you'll automatically ask "Jake? Jake what? Just Jake?" because of how common second names are given.

It’s kinda sad how they eliminated the first guy bc he spoke a lot of Tagalog and he never visited the Philippines. And he was the only one that sounded like he spoke the most Tagalog (I think he even said he was fluent) especially since he’s Filipino American. Respect for the parents for teaching him Tagalog, especially in the US :)
