I'm not really familiar with how it works... I don't want to pop the bulb if it's not rated for a 100 W slot.

I know CCFL bulbs sometimes say things like "Consumes 13 W, meant for 60W slot." Or "Consumes 26 W, meant for 100W slot." For the LED ones there was no such guide.

I saw LED bulbs at my local Home Depot... they looked cool.

Unfortunately they were only available in 40 or 60 watts.
