As someone else pointed out, the fact that the announcement for this contest was on a different channel and it was just someone on screen mode announcing it and the trailer seemed way less cool than previous build contests, I was a little apprehensive from the start. It's a shame that they forgot the Activity category during the winners announcements. Mistakes happen and hopefully this is a learning experience for Rec Room!!! I definitely think they deserve the benefit of the doubt and hopefully they learn from the creators and do better next time. With that said, there will ALWAYS be a ton of salty people who feel that the winning rooms didn't deserve it. Humans judge these contests and therefore judging is subjective! I had a good experience overall at the Roomies - I just wish that there was at least a holotar or some instructions when you spawn into the event. Literally everyone seemed confused about the limo ride, how to get to the actual room, and what was going on - our team didn't even spawn in together, we got split into different instances, adding to the confusion. But anyway, it's a privilege to be a part of it and I'm grateful they continue to run these contests - they could just say to heck with it, and do nothing. I think people forget that when they like to whine about it.

I was one of the co owners for the room that wasn't finished and I will say we did not deserve 2nd idk what rec room was thinking judging that room its a good room but the unfinished subroom is so obvious and I feel bad for ^MelodyOfScenery (3rd Place) they deserved 2nd way more than us and I full on agree with Neko its cool that we got 2nd but it just doesn't feel right we will fix that unfinished subroom and I also feel like they didn't even go to the other subrooms 1. The unfinished subroom is unbelievabley obvious and 2. They only showed footage the the home subroom idk but this was all just a big mess and were terribly sorry for causing so much outrage.

Our team for the contest build was a little concerned about the finalists room. We worked on Golden Notes and we noticed that our room wasn’t listed in the room connected to the rec center for winning rising star. We felt like we were promised we would have our own room linked with a room poster and button in the room because in a message from person working in RR it said ALL winning rooms will be linked. Not just the ones who have placed. The other rooms that didn’t place but got an award, were also not featured and they did amazing work too! For us, this would have really helped us out for our team to at least get some recognition for our work! 😔

Also one of the buttons in the room doesn’t take you to the room that the poster listed but a completely separate room that didn’t place! I feel very sad for that team and the others that could have gotten recognized but didn’t. 😔

Our team was so confused when we got into the room and saw the video and the activity category which our room was in was missing. Definitely feel that they should have put us all in one room to announce the winners first then interview each of us in another room for the stream. It was my first time at the roomies and though it was a bit confusing, it was still fun. Congrats to those who won prizes and hopefully they take this as a learning experience and are able to improve future roomies events.

I wasn’t at this roomies, and I know that is was just them experimenting with everything but It was really confusing how everyone who didn’t get top 3 or an award didn’t even get to go on the livestream. When they announced the winners even the teams who won were confused at first because it was so fast. Also they used to put all of the possible winners in a room, not knowing who would win was super exciting! A lot of people really liked being able to talk to the other teams. That’s part of why the roomies was so fun! They used the excuse of “It’s a lot of work to stream for four hours” but that doesn’t seem fair to us creators considering everyone in the contest had to work for over a month to get there. Let’s hope that Recroom listens to everyone’s feedback this contest!

Haven't worked on contest rooms since the folklore contest. I simply didn't have the time anymore. This is all the more reason to not work on contests in the future

Expected it to be low effort from the way the announcement trailer came out. They changed up the team in charge of it and with that went with their own direction just barely building off of previous contests. The lack of an actual awards show and a video that was lower grade than the weekly art gallery video just made it look like they really did not care for this to be anything for the creators. It was more like for them to get numbers that they needed to make it look like there is more content in Rec Room.

rec room has not had a good few weeks lately. First, the invasion event was almost entirely paid, and I couldn't complete it using the free cores and the extra cores with the belt. And now the roomies pissed a bunch of the rec room comunity. kinda sad to see this rn

Yeah this was my first time being invited to the roomies I was very exited but when I was actually there at the roomies It was very underwhelming. I congratulated all the winners but rec room I hope next year you put more effort in the roomies.

our friend group actually did not like the roomies because they put the video on loop the entire time so we could not communicate propely and the exitment of 'who is number 1' was also ruined

As some one that was there, I can say that no one was happy about the roomies that time, most were mad at judging or the actual event, me included, as the event just felt poorly made compared to Solstice

As a person who has been creating for 5y, I love all of the new tools they have given us, but RR feels like its been falling apart as of late.
As if they only care about making a profit on whatever is popular, over the beauty & creativity of their wider community.
