Is $35k for a car really just for rich people?

There are actually a number of cheaper electric cars on the market.

The BMW i3 is about 42K us (before government incentives) and if you want to go really cheap look at a 2013 Nissan Leaf, they hover around 9K (and they have a transferable warranty).

There is also the Volt (which is a plug in hybrid), the electric ford focus and coming soon both the Model 3 and the Bolt.

Yes, i just defaulted on my $125, 000 Tesla Model X which i was to take possession of on 3/31/17 because my wife was afraid that if something happened to me, she would be stuck with the $2, 000 a month payment! I was crushed, having watched a hundred owner videos on Youtube, over 500 hours of viewing in the 10 weeks since i ordered the Model X. It arrived on 3/27/17 and i rushed to the showroom to see it! It was put away somewhere and i could not find it, the salesmen were of no help. My delivery specialist Andrew, was terrific on Tuesday and showed me everything! I was so excited that i forgot to take any photos of the Model X. Then the bad news, our combined income qualified me for the car but my wife would have to co sign, well she would not so i had to default and loose my $2, 500 deposit and my beautiful Model X! I am Crushed!

Don't count on Tesla cars to be above average in safety especially crash test. You tube the latest video from IIHS, Tesla was only ACCEPTABLE.

A super computer?! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Oh man. This guy is so wrong! Oh Yeah guys no super computers in car anytime soon. Especially in Tesla, they're not cost efficient, and would add a lot of weight to the car. Sorry for disappointing you.
