I've been incorporating one non-fiction a month in my reading and that seems to be working for me. I loved Blue Sisters and Coco Mellors' first book Cleopatra and Frankenstein.

Gabby I love your hair in this vid!!😍😍 If you're looking for nonfiction -- especially memoirs -- I recommend Sitting Pretty by Rebekah Taussig, which deals with disability on an individual as well as social scale, and Jell-o Girls by Allie Rowbottom, a chronicling of the Jell-o empire through the lens of family curses, patriarchy, and the power of female relationships. The latter was one I took a chance on at the library and it turned out to be one of my favs of the year!

Hi, Gabby! I'm usually a more silent supporter, but I have to tell you that if you go into Madwoman expecting a thriller, you're probably going to hate it. They did that book such a disservice by calling it a thriller. Literary? Yes. It is definitely more that. It has some really beautiful commentary on motherhood, the woman's role vs a man's role in a marriage/parenting, and surviving domestic violence. The ending is maybe thrillerish but please do not go into it thinking that's what you're getting.
