This series and DC Presents were two of my favorite series. In a time where team-upsand crossovers were rare and special having this one around wS great, them suddenly there was DC Presents, 2-in-1 and Team-Up, but it still didn'tget stale because they were each specifically a single hero's team-ups (usually). Drawback for the companies I suppose was it probably led to people picking and choosing which issues they'd buy. But I think they were at their best when either obscure guest-stars were used, introducing them to us non-fans, or when it showed the unique dynamics of the leads as opposed to the action scenes.

I think I see where this is going. While John Byrne successfully capitalized on this idea in the 80’s & 90’s, Kupperberg may have invented it. While Kryptonite has a specific wavelength of radiation that directly affects Kryptonians, it’s still radiation! Change the wavelength you get stories like this. Or synthetic K. Or Lex Luthor losing his hand or contracting cancer due to prolonged exposure from a Kryptonite ring. Or Batman doubling over in pain, etc.
Given what we now know about Lois and her potential suitor habits, her involvement becomes even more suspect!
Also, beware, Turtle Man. Beware.

This would be a good book for you to review! I vaguely remember a Batman & Lois Lane team up during the early 00’s as well. I always thought those two would be an interesting team. Both investigations, both martial artists. Be pretty sweet. Well…maybe not Silver Age Lois and Bruce. She’d be silently judging Batman for not being super, and he’d keep throwing subtle misogynistic jabs at her.
