Generally many people have no idea what goes on behind the scenes of a service/repair shop of any kind, whether it be automotive, electronics, or in your case farm equipment. So these types of videos are a great tool to show customers what really happens, and why a shop charges that $100+ an hour for labor...its not because they're greedy in most cases, its because that shop probably has several million dollars in tools, equipment, manuals, parts, etc. that they have to keep on hand to work on that 80 year old piece of equipment as well as that brand new million dollar tractor that just came out. Awesome video, thanks for sharing.

Not everyone can be a a mechanic...I tried to fix my car a couple weeks ago, now it don't run at all after a head gasket replacement so...yep I won't be checking out any mechanic jobs LOL.

Have a great weekend everyone.

as a fellow behind the scene's guy, a very well done piece of publicity, at the end of the day, it's not a showpiece, its not a flawless top notch car workshop, its a very good representation of an extremely busy, efficient working environment, you lads seem to be the pinnacle, the pioneers the world over, for our trade, working with all the top market leaders,

I wish we had dealerships like this around here. You dont know how much more confident you can be when you buy from a knowledgeable and organized dealer like you guys.

I have always enjoyed seeing the Service areas that support any of my equipment. I also like the personal touch that a service writer gives me as a customer. Thanks for the tour...

Great video Neal! I'm John the fellow from Delaware that suggested you guys do a video on this subject. So cool to see how your dealership works. I had no idea you had so much overhead to pay for as well as how much service manuals cost. Seeing those giant tanks of oil was neat to! I can only imagine what it costs to fill just one tank. I appreciate you taking the time to do this video and enjoy all your videos.

Thanks John 😀

That’s the most amazing dealer shop I’ve seen by far. I really like the job box idea for certain machines and it’s got me wanting to make a hay equipment job box for myself.

I ran auto repair shops when I was younger so I can relate. Very impressive operation Neil and family and great content.

WOW what a shop and a support crew
You should be very proud of what your family has done for all the different aspects of farming and construction
I have work from Upstate New York to Colorado and Virginia as a heavy equipment Mechanic and that is one of the BEST SHOP
I have ever seen I would put it on a level of most CATERPILLER EQUIPMENT SHOPS
It is nice to see that you treat your Mechanic as family and not just a number
Great job
Thanks again
Edward

I would rock putting tractors loaders and backhoes together as well as repairing equipment. Used to run a 3 bay shop back in the 90's until I found better paying work in IT. I just finished rebuilding an IH 35 rake, and have a JD 1209 and NH 273 to get fully working too. When I bought the backhoe for my B2410, a Woods BH70-X, I put it together myself, was easy for me.

I could've watched an hour of this kind of tour, even more in depth. So interesting! Wish I had the physical abilities to work on equipment in a place like this.

Very impressive Neil.  I follow your videos regularly but this one is in my top list.  Who knew at the ripe age of 35 entertainment for me would not on network TV,  but a video tour of equipment dealership!

That was an excellent video. The logistics of the operation, the design of the shop and the overview of the different areas that encompass something as vital and intricate as "the service dept" were superb. The oil storage and recycling facilities alone really illustrate why dealerships are more costly than a shade-tree mechanic. Getting it done right is more than just replacing a filter, it's everything before and after too.

Btw Neil, still waiting to hear when you're breaking ground on a dealership in N. Texas. I can't wait to buy my new tractor forever you know. LOL
