I'm glad that they honored pachelbel's wish of having a mannequin looking over the violinist shoulder during the performance. My understanding is that if the performer stops playing prematurely, someone is supposed to shove the mannequin into them to make them think they're being attacked! It shows how things have changed since Pachabel's that these instructions are not followed in most performances these days.

I’m going to have a solo violinist at my wedding in 1 month and Canon in D is one of the songs in the violinist’s music catalogue . I wanted to hear what this might sound like with only 1 instrument and had a hard time finding a rendition until I found yours. I wasn’t sure if it would sound bare, but it’s beautiful. Now I can imagine what this might sound like as I’m walking down the aisle. Thank you ❤️
