The problem with these forum presentations is that no speaker has a chance to fully develop their thoughts. That and the lame audio quality of remote connections. More COVID fiasco effects, the gift that keeps on giving.

Wasn't the 2% of GDP minimum spending toward defence the agreed upon contribution by NATO members - It makes no sense that the US should "give' something if it wants others to keep their word. On the other hand making someone other than an American the head of NATO whether everyone upholds their spending agreement or not makes sense - Even leadership from some of the smaller members would be fine - depends more on the person than where they're from in my opinion.

I think the point about the UK security review and the Indo-Pacific tilt is that it does not speak about Europe/the EU.
