As a psychologyst this deck is very useful for shadow work and the unconscious patterns of a person.

It's such a lovely deck! And it's quite multi-usable - I once brought them out at a Dance Movement Therapy workshop I was hosting, so that the participants would dance out the archetypes pulled out from the deck. Surprisingly, it worked in a rather deep way. :)

I just saw this video (July of 2019). This deck has so very many uses for self reflection, healing, shadow and/or light work the list goes on. I added the archetypes. Kelly as usual you do an amazing job with the decks you show!!!


1) Hypocrite; Light- see the traits of words and actions that are in opposition and takes precautions to prevent. Shadow-pretender words spoken or preached are not the actions that are done-they are in fact the opposite.
2)Predator; Light- Circle of life- any organism that to exist or live must prey on other organisms or die. Shadow- Someone who exploits and preys on others for selfish, sadistic or evil reasons of their own ultimate selfishness.
3)Monster; Light- See what is under or behind the mask. The primal instinct for survival, flight, fight, freeze. Shadow-exploits, consumes all, even at the cost of their own and all living things. Extreme greed.
4)Zombi; Light-letting basic needs be acknowledged. Shadow- Mindless, thoughtless destruction
5) Ecologist; Light- Save our planet, all life is sacred and everything is alive and has value. The long view, proactive. Shadow- Using fear and falsehoods of real needs, to lie or prop up existing, outdated and non sustainable companies for personal gain or wealth. Short view, denies real problems and solutions under the umbrella of false altruism.
6) Orator; Light-speaks of knowledge, acceptance, love, peace. Of differences are to be celebrated, unity, education. Stands for those that have no voice or been silenced. Shadow- speaks lies to spread hate, fear, violence for ultimate control and suppression of all views that are not their own. Seeks to silence and ignore those ideas, events and people who should have a light shined on them.


I am not sure you will ever see this comment as your video is 3 years old. But I wanted to respond. I use this deck often, and in many different ways. Thanks for another terrific video and walkthrough. I always love when you take time to talk about spreads. I wish I would have seen this sooner :) lol

Caroline Myss is a fantastic teacher and I advise that you take time to read her books to help understand these cards, their meanings and how it relates to you. books: Archetypes by Caroline Myss and also Sacred Contract, this book introduces you to the Archetypes and how to do your own charts using the cards to understand yourself. Highly Recommend.

Question -> How do you personally use this deck? I use it to pull cards to describe personality types to see who a specific reading video I make is intended for. If the viewers associate with the pulled card (say the Advocate card), the video reading I make is for them. If the viewer associates with any job or personality that is describes by the Advocate card like attorney/defender, lobbyist, legislator, "do-gooder", activist, volunteer worker, etc.

This is the only way I've discovered to use these cards for actual functional use. How do you personally use them, or do you?

I realy like the energy of this deck. Like you, I'm not all that font of the look of the cards, but I can realy see the use of them. Thanks for finaly adding a deck to my wishlist again.. LOL (didn't have one for a while..)
