So, a pretty important detail was left out. The cop didn't just fire a bunch of shots in response to the acorn, he fired a bunch of shots at his car where an unarmed suspect (the cop had already checked him for weapons) was restrained. Miraculously, the cop didn't hit him with any of the shots but he could have easily killed the guy.

You forgot to mention that his "mistake" led to both him and his partner unloading their entire magazines into their own police vehicle, where a suspect was handcuffed in the back seat... By sheer luck, probably thanks to these two officers being completely inept at being able to hit the suspect, the man inside the vehicle somehow did not get shot at all... And even after both officers unloaded their entire magazines into the vehicle, the 'acorn officer' kept on checking his vest to see if he was shot, because he couldn't freaking tell if he was shot or not...

The fact this cop is just allowed to quit and move on with his life is truly the best way to point out ACAB

If there was one "good cop" in thst precinct they would have arrested him and had him charged for attempted murder, reckless discharge of a firearm and a slue of other crimes.

Not only did he open fire on an unarmed detainee that (thankfully) he didnt hit. This was in a RESIDENTIAL NEIGHBORHOOD.

Imagine one of those shots missed went thru someones window and killed or grievously injured them. Or some kid was walking down the street and got hit by a stray from EITHER OF THE TWO OFFICERS WHO DID THIS.

If any regular person did this theyd be facing like 30 years in prison. ACAB doesnt just insinuate that all cops do bad things themselves it means that when they see a fellow officer do something bad and dont do anything they are just as bad. They have the authority to do something and choose not to. If u witnessed one of your friends do this and had the legal authority to stop them you would cause thats insane to just let this slide. It doesnt matter if it was just an acorn and no one was hurt he put peoples lives in danger
