Jean-Baptiste Poline considers The Neuro to be an ideal place for him to carry out his work in developing neuroinformatics, open and reproducible science and data analysis techniques in brain imaging and genomics data.

“There is a lack of well-documented data in neuroscience. My work here in neuro-informatics can help fill this gap,” says Poline, associate professor in McGill’s Department of Neurology and Neurosurgery, Faculty of Medicine, and principal investigator at the Ludmer centre.

“By gathering and documenting more data and making them more widely available, we can make a major change in future research.”

Poline came to The Neuro from the Helen Wills Neuroscience Centre at UC Berkeley. Before that, he had worked at the Neurospin Imaging Centre, Saclay, France, and at the Functional Imaging Laboratory of Queen Square, London. “The Neuro has great researchers and ambitious projects. Yes, it’s an ideal place for me.”
