What Are Serious Games?

The term 'Serious Games' has developed because people wanted to make a distinction between games for fun and entertainment, to games that had a serious outcome such as giving a social message or learning.

A serious game from a learning perspective is a game that allows people to learn. A lot of people think that serious games originated from the year 2000 with the Serious Game initiative. This isn't the case. If we go back in time to the 1970s, a man named Clarke C. Abt released a book named Serious Games, it even goes back way further.

Now it's time to think about why we want to learn serious games. Games can give us non-linear experiences. We don't always have to go in order. We can think about the strategy differently. We can think about elements differently.

All these things are benefits of playing serious games. There are a lot more benefits of serious games that can help an organisation learn, grow and become better!

And it is very interisting but I see the problem that there are not really a lot of tools out there for creating a video game fast (without coding, without drawing...)....

I only really like games that are serious like the last of us regardless if it’s fiction I enjoy more when it has a serious tone like I personally hate saints row because how it was supposed to be comedy don’t get me wrong it’s ok if it has comedy in it but not a ridiculous amount
