I AM SUPRISED AT HOW RESPECTFUL THEY WERE

Not a huge fan of Max and his wheel to wheel racing but I have to say his reply was very mature. Yes, the final contact that cost both cars was on Max, but it's not like Norris did "nothing wrong". Any of the previous overtaking attempts could've resulted in a similarly devastating outcome if Max didn't take avoiding actions.

With all the love towards Lando and the fact that Max was more to blame today, what surprises me the most is the statement in the question" You should have really won the race...!". From a journalist? Really? Aren't they suppose to be unbiased, even when I do understand that as a Brit you can be, but as an interviewer to say that is just bonkers.

I think the least angry people are the two drivers involved

Norris has aged 7-10 years today; Max was diplomatic - talking about "the mistakes the team made" that they normally didn't make.

Max got a 10 points gain on Norris and that's more than when they would have finished 1 and 2..🤑

Unbiased reported "should've really won that race". My god....

I honestly chalk it up to hard racing. They both were pushing it there at the end. Did maxy boy push a bit wider than noramal sure, he is defending P1. But also I feel Lando did have a smidge more to give as well. Again it is racing and i would chalk that one up to a racing incident. they still had plenty of time to battle it out. I feel both are equally responsible.

What a mature response from Max. Loved the race, finally some action since 2021. Wish the fans could calm down with the blaming and just enjoy the aggressive racing, this is what i love to see 😂

Had the 5 second penalty call from the stewards come half a lap

At least Lando mentions the pitstop, if it weren't for that this discussion wouldn't be taking place.

Lando was utterly frustrated before the collision. Talking about unsafe release, moving under braking. I call that just hard racing. Max was not lucky with the mistakes that the team made. The divebombs of Lando was also not the cleanest way of trying to get ahead of Max. In my opinion it was a racing incident and both lost at least a podium or a win. Lando was quicker with the newer tyres but for how much longer? And than not to forget the 5 seconds for tracklimits. FIA was taking lots of time to give the penalty, what would have defused the whole thing. The McLaren front wing endplates have these sharp edges that helpes to cut there opponents tires to shreds, i guess they were supprised Lando collected a punture too. It's a shame it ended like that but it was more or less expected.

' I DID NOTHING WRONG' Where have I heard that before?

You know what would have avoided all this? The FIA MAKING DECISIONS FASTER. they took 4 -6 laps to hand track limits penalty on lando and then 2 laps on verstappen after the crash.. like wtf are you all doing. The 5sec when they bangged wheels. After watching everything back again, an accident was just waiting to happen. Norris was driving like an absolute monster. Threw all the rule book out the window

Lando seems to believe he’s owed something. You’re not getting a championship by expecting something. You take it.

He was complaining on the radio way before the incident, dive-bombed a few times and eventually got what you can get when there is contact.

He could have won the race if him exceeding track limit multiple times wouldn’t have given him potential 5s penalty and he’s overtaken smarter. Another over enthusiastic move that doesn’t go the way he thought it would.

Last week, Lando pushed Max into the grass, and now he complains that Max did not give him space while there still was.

Hard wheel to wheel racing. Finally, it's here after a couple of years of Schtappenning. No whining required. Just enjoy while it lasts.

Lando says he did nothing wrong, well I do not know about that. Both were to blame for certain situations, both were overly aggressive. Just to remind you that the divebomb he did on Max which made Max leave the track was penalized in the sprint race for Hulkenberg. Very much the same situation, so he would have gotten 10 sec. for that one if stewards were consistent. He also had a 5 second penalty for track limits. I am not saying Max was correct everywhere, and of course Lando had the bigger disadvantage from the crash, with more damage, but this should not cloud the judgement. The british bias in the line of questioning was pretty sickening though and overall this will make for a very toxic atmosphere in Silverstone.
