Philippine Navy with Strategic Sealift Vessel (SSV) marks Historical 1st Port-Call in Russia

Philippine Navy made history on 2018 by completing the country’s first-ever port call in Russia. The 440-men contingent from Naval Task Force (NTF) 87 was onboard the Strategic Sealift Vessel BRP Tarlac (LD601), arrived on October 02, 2018 at the Russian Pacific Fleet’s headquarters in Vladivostok. This visit was part of the Naval Diplomacy Call and also the proof of SSV's performance. Voyage to Vladivostok, BRP Tarlac (LD601) sailed over high-tension regions, such as South China Sea, East Asia, and passed the North Pacific Ocean by the winter. A year later, following the sister BRP Davao Del Sur (LD602) underwent the voyage call to participate in the Russian Navy Day in Russia.

The intellectual property rights certification on the ship's design comprises principal dimension, lines plan, and ship drawing. The certificate was published by the Directorate General of Intellectual Property of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights with Patent Number IDP000054364 dated November 1st, 2018 valid until October 11th, 2033.
