When the two or more shaft are used in series they are called series shaft o For this
arrangement total angle of twist is sum of individual twist. the shear stress is maximum at
a section where torque is maximum. To know the torque in each section of the shaft use
torque diagram or free body diagram. For statically indeterminate use compatibility equation
ie total twist is equal to zero
