My greatest concern is how to recover from all these economic and global troubles and stay afloat especially with the political power tussle going on in US.

Our economy struggling with uncertainties, housing issues, foreclosures, global fluctuations, and pandemic aftermath, causing instability. Rising inflation, sluggish growth, and trade disruptions need urgent attention from all sectors to restore stability and stimulate growth.

Yeah the $1, 200 we gave workers was the problem.... not the free $10, 000, 000 my business got in PPP loans, ERC credits, and low interest EIDL Loans.

I don't know where all that stimulus went. I can tell you where it didn't go, anywhere near me. I had to work all throughout the myriad lockdowns and BS because I was considered "essential". I didn't see any hazard pay, stimulus, or anything else the millions who sat at home and got paid twice my weekly income got.

The cost of a fast food meal is equivalent to one hour worked or higher. Restaurants are closing in masse. Credit card delinquency rates are the highest they’ve ever been. 401k early withdrawal rates as well. Automotive is on life support. Employment rates of non immigrants has been declining for some time. Food prices are 60% higher than just a few years ago. So sure…great economy.

I've stopped listening to Peter for unbiased information, now I listen to see what the government is trying to get me to think.

Zeihan sounds like he knows what he's talking about until he touches a subject you actually know something about, and then you realize he just confidently asserts his mental model to everything.

My favorite part is Peter doing everything he can to avoid saying that but for insane fiscal policy and reckless spending, we'd be in a recession at the moment.

My favorite part of covid was the part where all the people who got laid off from the place I work ended up making more money than the people still working.

The issue is wealth is being collected by a small percentage of individuals, so while statistically things look nice, more than half of Americans are one emergency away from losing everything. So long as everything's good there's no problem but if something goes wrong it will collapse incredibly fast.

'If there is a concern....' Do you buy food or fuel? Try buying a home? This perspective seems to ignore the obvious problem. The US government is overspending.

It's got to be those rose color glasses that Peter is wearing.

Peter... sorry, bubba, but I think your view of the U.S.'s economic situation over the last five years is starkly different from the rest of us.

Peter coming from Monarch Beach in the south end of Laguna Beach, California. Reality is the people living in the multi-million-dollar homes up on those cliffs overlooking the Pacific Ocean are not the least bit worried about a recession.

Peter deals at a macro level. I like his big picture analysis. If you are concerned about the price of eggs he's not your guy.
