Major Trump backer in Texas opposes border wall

President Trump campaigned on building a wall along the Mexican border. But one of his fundraisers in Texas is speaking out against the proposal, which analysts say could cost $40 billion. Manuel Bojorquez reports.

They can just post more guards and guard towers at the river. More guards freed up to patrol that area because of the wall.

It is obvious that a wall is not practical everywhere along the border.  In some places where it is not, other methods of securing the border will be used instead.  Where it is practical, a wall will allow the border patrol to focus more attention and personnel to those areas where the wall cannot be built.  Just because some places are not practical for a wall doesn't mean it should not be built in areas where it is practical.  Yet, that seems to be the point of this news segment. If a wall can't be built continuously, nothing should be built?  Sounds like another example of people trying desperately to find any excuse to do nothing and leave the border wide open.

The river is not a sufficient stop to keep people from coming over. People use boats and they also swim over by using life vest and other flotation devices. Cartel members bring them over in inflatable boats all the time and he is out of touch and doesn't understand what's going on. He needs to get out of his cushy home and go find out instead of sitting there acting like a stupid Democrat.
