We all wanna talk about how Ash has been 10 for over 20 years but no one wants to talk about how amazing he has been able to stay alive at 10 for over 20 years. The amount of times he gets hit by a Pokémon’s move, and the amount of times he managed to pull off life or death situations, it’s amazing he managed to keep himself alive all this time.

the scene with mewtwo and mew fighting and ash jumping in way to stop them is some of most saddest things i have ever seen in the world of pokemon especially with the song in the middle of the fight

So, technically he died 5 times. One was a remake of one already on the list, and the other was more of a near-death. Still, it's good to know that Revives work on humans as well as Pokemon in that world.

1:28 Actually, the chandelier doesn't kill them. What happens is that since there's electricity inside of chandeliers and Pikachu is an electric type, Pikachu's power connects with the chandelier's electricity which causes his knocked out self to use an electric attack on them, which electrocutes Ash and Pikachu.

Also, question: How does Ash, a ten year old boy, manage to die MORE TIMES than an undead 106 year old man who got crushed in a suit, yet still lived?

Doesn’t Ash have powers though? In the movie: Lucario and the Mystery of Mew, Ash is told to have limited control or feel over aura, like Sir Eric, a knight and the master of the Lucario in the movie from way in the past. We don’t see it as much after the movie, but I think it has been addressed a few times.

Also, yeah, it’s a running gag by now for Ash to get electrocuted by Pikachu. It’s gotten to the point when he does it to wake Ash up, it doesn’t phase him or he just goes right back to sleep.

Besides the 7 moments in the video there are also moments where Ash was very close to being unalived. One example is the movie where Mewtwo goes against a Genesect and Ash steps between them. There were also moments with basically every legendary Pokemon where he nearly died. Ash is a very sturdy and stubborn kid and the fact that he has lasted so long is a shock to many.
