Origin:

 Who is Batwoman the drowned?

In this Gender reverse Reality. Bryce lover Sylvester Kyle was killed by metahumans. In retaliation for the death of her lover, She killed every metahuman on land to avenge him. Aqua woman come to the surface, but war started.

During fight Batwoman killed Aqua woman by his own Trident. In retaliation, the Atlanteans drowned Gotham City and a large part of the world beneath the waves. In order to win her desperate war, Bryce performed surgical and geneticely modified herself, such as the ability to control water, breathe underwater, heal faster, along with the capability to perform a type of dark hydrokinesis which could corrupt and convert those fighting against her into sea beasts, under her command. She called these creatures, Dead Water.  And then she drowned whole Earth beneath the waves and become, The Drowned when she destroyed her earth. Batman who laughed, came and offered to join him. She accept his offer and become member of dark nights.

This Bat's backstory is just too all over the place for my tastes. Hunts down all metahumans to avenge her lover, then becomes a metahuman to fight a war SHE started, then kills the entire world because she's a metahuman. Like, Jesus, the Joker is more logical than this mess.
