On our Amsterdam WIndmill Tour, we show you this is the lovely, almost 400 year old, windmill. We visit it on our spring tulip tour as well as on our summer & fall windmill tour. It was used for centuries keep a drained lake dry. The lake was drained in the early 1600s to make much needed farm land. Now the windmill is run by volunteers who keep it in good working order, preserving their Dutch heritage.

Incredible and beautiful demo without a single word. I actually understand more abt windmills in (1) minute than i did from a futile half hour of googling

I always wondered how the actual pumps powered by those windmills looked like

i want to know what the bearings look like. What's holding the axle sideways because they definitely don't have steel ball bearings right?

So it uses wind combined with flowing water to pump more water from one area to another?

Can we all just appreciate nobody was asking for a thumbs up and not 10 minutes long?

Maybe you took "show, don't tell" a bit too seriously, I'd like someone to tell me what's going on.
