Isn't it obvious that Nico Hoerner and PCA should be hitting 1-2 at the top of the order? All of that tremendous speed reaking havoc at the top and setting the table for the power hitters. Happ is a good hitter and I know he works the count and draws a lot of walks, but drop him to 5th and let the rabbits play small ball at the top and drive pitchers crazy. Counsell was a small ball player when he played. So why doesn't he bring this into his managing style? Yes, I know the Cubs lead the MLB in steals, but I feel the lineup would be even better with the Cubs two fastest players and excellent hitters as well in Nico & PCA hitting 1-2. Nico was the lead off hitter only a couple of seasons ago when David Ross was manager, and Hoerner stole 43 bases and scored 98 runs. Nico & PCA 1-2 could be the second coming of the daily double, just like Dernier & Sandberg in 1984.
