European countries have pledged an additional 21-Bbillion euros of military aid for Ukraine. The promises came at a meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group in Brussels. The US has played a leading role in the forum since Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine. But that's been scaled back since President Donald Trump moved into the White House. US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth made a last-minute appearance by video link.

If hundreds of expensive five star summits and meetings were military production units, the EU would be a military powerhouse.

No more American money or weapons to Ukraine

Unfortunately, most USA weapons are back ordered. So new purchase orders won’t translate to actual sales for at least 5 years.

Remember the 7-month pause in aid to Ukraine, because the Republicans voted against it...? J.D. Vance was one of those ''Nay'' voters... And he had the nerve to demand a thank you...
Who knows how those delays have prolonged this war, maybe it was a critical decider... It could have been over, who knows...

Trump has utter contempt for Ukraine. I think US support of Ukraine is over for the next three years.

Our security architecture needs to be completely independent from the US. Europe must serve its OWN interests... we are a world power if we want to be one.

If you are a country paying the cost of a 3 years on going war equivalent or more than 30 countries combined payment, you probalby will be unwilling or reluntant to continue doing that while the fight raging on with no sight of peace in near future, especially when you are already in super high debt stage.

USA annual military budget is 850 billions. Over three years US has given Ukraine around 110 billions, which actually consists mostly of old military equipment which they are replacing for newer models. It is a BARGAIN deal, probably the best investment US has ever made in war.

Germany cannot currently supply additional Patriot air defense systems to Ukraine, as it is still awaiting future deliveries, German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius stated. "As you know, Germany provided already four full systems of Patriot. We are not able to provide any more for the moment, because we are waiting for being provided by Raytheon in the years to come, which will start only in 2027, " Pistorius explained during a press conference following the Ukraine Defense Contact Group meeting in Brussels.

When it comes to trade and tariffs EU is a global power player and force to recon with, but when it comes to pay for Ukraine defense, EU expect the US to do it.
