I remember being a early subscriber to Richard holdner thinking this guy is going to blow up and eventually he did. Joe you have a bad ass channel. You're doing an amazing job keep at it!

This is a great video. One thing to note, Dynapack can do RPM Pickup using the signal from one of the the ignition coils too.

Unfortunately, I have one of those brands that joe won't even comment on. It is an absolute shame that certain companies won't support their absolutely garbage equipment the second the check clears. The only thing worse than their software is their support.

Pay for annual support to some half @$$ Facebook support group to leave your questions pending forever. Won't respond to phone calls, voicemail or email. Yet have the biggest booths at the trade shows with all the rental women trying to pry open business owners wallets.

Steer clear of all dyno salespeople named Allison. That's all I can say.

When it's time to upgrade my dyno, mainline will be the option.

That said, I 100% made my piece of garbage hub dyno useful by upgrading to sport devices software and daq. Happy to help if anyone is in a similar situation.

Thanks for everything joe. Just wish I had seen you sooner

I ordered my mainline Pro hub july last year and it arrived pretty much when they said it would. It got stuck at customs and then again freight companies were dicking around getting it to me, but that is not Mainlines fault. They have been great about getting back to me anytime I have had a question, and I have had quite a few. Their software is quite cumbersome and not well laid out in my opinion. I am sure it is extremely powerful, but simple things like getting a graph to display the way I want to send to a customer is frustrating. One screen will show engine RPM one way and the chart to print will be different.

This is something I found very frustrating. I do primarily german AWD cars, and the hubs do not come with hub centering rings for any of the cars I have run and on my RS3 it shakes the shit out of the car, I canceled a 2021 RS6 session for the same reason. When I contacted mainline they sent me prints to have centering rings made. On rear drive cars it seems minimal, but something about the Audi adapters is violent. I have done 4 different cars and all have the same issue. I have tried both cone seat and ball seat lug bolts and it does not center the adapters well enough to not be a issue. Now I am looking for a lathe and tooling so I don't have to order these from local machine shops when I need them.

I also agree 100% that they should move the data connectors for the hub units so they are near the power plugs on the outside of the cabinet. OR a good alternative would be to have a disconnect at the hub unit so I can coil up the wires easily if needed. This would be a nice quality of life improvement for me being a smaller shop.

I watched just about all of your videos about dyno's before finalizing the order on mine. I have a lot to learn as a operator, but it is exciting.

I had a Dynojet 424 for 10 plus years and was 8/10 happy with it, after I bought a mustang MD-500-AWD that was the biggest mistake I made, Dynojet software was way way better and both customer service suck ass
Thanks for the great video man.
What did the pro hub 3000 HP 2wd cost around?

We're planning getting a dyno... And mainline is our choice, but we have a dealer here with bad review...

One thing I wish you could have mentioned was price. I can’t find pricing online anywhere, it’s like they wanna keep it a secret.

I have hub dynos from another place and that wait time was ridic. Promised few weeks, took 8 months. Support has been terrible ever since unless you put them on blast on social mdeia, then they only do just enough to shut you up for a minute before your next problem. WIsh I had gone Mainline, but now i'm 60K into what I have.

Did you get the CAN bus module? I have used a prohub several times and I LOVED that feature...

Joe Simpson, when you point the cars in different directions, do you have to swap sides with the dyno load cells or will they work in both directions?

How much? I spent $250k on photo lab equipment 25+ years ago. If the equipment makes you money and you can keep it occupied, then cost is almost moot. Cost to a business is far different to the eyes of the individual. Durability and adaptability would be my main concern. It is one think to take on an in e like this only to have to reinvest frequently. Also the service contracts can be substantial and even prohibitive adding to the cost of operation with consumable items.

8:38, because people are stupid. Mustang dyno is a street racer's dyno. That was common knowledge 20 years ago. If people are still questioning it now, they just simply haven't done their homework.

Is there a dealer in the US? Or strictly order from Australia? Do they offer financing options or ???

I’ve been wondering if you have to have a spool in the car to use this type of dyno?

Would love any insight on calibration frequency, ease of fudging numbers, etc. (maybe both on the correction side of things as well as the actual calibration of the load cell). I've been seeing a lot of not-so-believable power numbers lately, to put it politely. It doesn't help that I'm at altitude where it wouldn't be hard to add ~20% by correcting to sea level, IMO not exactly legit for turbo applications.

My first dyno was a Dyno Dynamics Dynotech, super quick and easy to set up, but just as I bought it, Turbo LS started taking over the world, and holding 800+ on the small dual rollers was difficult. I now have a 24" Land And Sea Dyno, and mechanically it's great. The software is a bag of dicks though.
