I repaired and operated an old Millegelati Gaggia self cooling ice cream maker

Fill every gap in that gear with JB-Weld. And rough up the surfaces if possible. Or maybe even better some type of plastic epoxy. In the hollows of the gear.

The gear and shaft thing we had to saw it completely off and glue it AROUND the shaft itself. That's the only way to get it on. Then worked perfectly. Epoxy I think is what we used. Just fyi. U cannot find that part ne where lol if it didn't work we where going to 3d print a new one, but it worked. :)
